Faculty pianist and Deputy Dean Melvin Chen performs Beethoven’s “Diabelli” Variations and variations on Diabelli’s 1819 waltz by Czerny, Hummel, Liszt, Schubert, faculty composer Aaron Jay Kernis, and YSM alumni Timo Andres ’07BA ’09MM, Krists Auznieks ’16MM ’22DMA, Lori Laitman ’75BA ’76MM, and Liliya Ugay ’16MM ’22DMA.
